Stocking Stuffers for Cowboys

Small, useful things a cowboy will actually carry: a good knife, leather care, a weatherproof notebook, a bandana and a classic lighter.

The best stocking stuffers for a cowboy are small, practical and built to be used. Nothing here needs batteries or an explanation.

For the pocket

A simple folding knife is the stocking stuffer that never goes out of style. The Opinel No. 08 has a beechwood handle and a carbon steel blade.

A Zippo in brushed chrome is windproof and refillable, and it lights a campfire on a breezy night.

Weatherproof notebooks hold cattle counts, fence notes and lists that have to survive a wet shirt pocket.

For the boots

Good boots deserve care. A leather conditioner and cleaner works on boots, bags and tack.

A set of horsehair brushes and daubers cleans and buffs them before a night out.

For cold mornings

A rib-knit watch cap is the standard for early chores.

And a dozen cotton paisley bandanas means one for every stocking, with a few left for the truck.
